I'm taking a class at the union and it's more of a lecture class, so I fell back into my old habit of doodling in my notebook. For some reason I find it a lot easier to get into things when I'm drawing on lined paper. I guess the vast, pristine expanse of a sketchbook page intimidates me ha.
(her face was so weird after I scanned it in and flipped it around. I tried to move things around but it still doesn't look quite right. franken-face.)
I don't advocate smoking, but I like drawing it. Makes the hands more interesting. C:
Yay, pretty-lady art! I really like the girl with the long, fancy cigarette.
ReplyDeleteWow, those are nice!
ReplyDeleteyou have a wonderful shorthand...for the ladiieesssss. I like the drawins, carrie. good to see an update :)
ReplyDeleteI feel the need to go buy a pack of smokes now...and maybe drink some tea in a pretty dress, too.
ReplyDeleteGood to see you posting again, Carrie.
Ryan only gets to the pretty dress part, too much effort for smoking or tea-ing.
ReplyDeleteFancy drawings! Post more!

@Ryan: that's how real ladies do it, a smoke in one hand and a daintily held teacup in another :D

@norm: Thanks so much! I love your blog and your work. Looking forward to more Pigears ;)
lovely sketches! I also love drawing people smoking even though I don't advocate it, haha. good bumping into you briefly at Nucleus last Saturday, too. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! One thing I really love about your artwork is that it's not all the same style. Sometimes your lines are sketchy, and sometimes they're solid, and sometimes they look realistic and sometimes they're cartoony... you're just very diverse!
